About the role#
This position supports acute care teams by performing basic patient care, treatments, and procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with daily activities, maintain medical records, and provide clerical support to the unit. This role requires clear communication and the ability to coordinate patient flow using various telecommunication devices.
What you'll do#
- Perform and document basic patient care tasks as delegated by an RN.
- Assist in maintaining medical records and provide clerical support.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the health care team.
- Manage supply, equipment, and environmental needs, including reporting broken or malfunctioning items.
- Monitor for safety hazards and follow all infection control policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Student Nurse (LPN or RN).
- Completion of your first nursing clinical rotation or semester.
- High School Diploma.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to operate computers and multi-line phone systems.
