About the role#
Facility Asset Management and the Buena Vista Construction Company handle construction project management for the Walt Disney World Resort. These teams maintain parks, resorts, attractions, and infrastructure while managing themed construction elements like rockwork and specialized finishes. This internship runs from January through June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support Construction Managers with construction processes before, during, and after field implementation.
- Review project drawings, specifications, schedules, estimates, and finances.
- Track project progress by keeping meeting minutes, writing daily reports, and documenting job walks with photos.
- Coordinate site access and work with contractors, vendors, and operations teams.
- Assist in the preparation of site-specific safety plans.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Post Graduate degree program in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, or Architecture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work various shifts, including occasional weekends, holidays, early mornings, or late nights.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
- This is a full-time, on-site internship.
- Undergraduate students are paid $31 per hour, and graduate students are paid $36 per hour.
