About the role#
This is a paid, 40-hour per week summer internship designed to provide a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role. You will spend your time gaining hands-on experience in retail store management, working closely with mentors and store leaders to understand business operations. The program focuses on developing leadership skills, team management, and guest service excellence.
What you'll do#
- Lead a retail team across various store departments.
- Plan and organize daily goals while identifying store priorities.
- Collaborate with store leaders to support team member performance through coaching and feedback.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by assisting shoppers and resolving concerns.
- Participate in daily huddles and present summaries of results and priorities.
- Review business reports and guest insights to identify and troubleshoot opportunity areas.
- Learn retail business fundamentals, including merchandising and operational workflows.
What you'll need#

- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to work independently, manage your own workload, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective communication skills and a helpful, welcoming attitude.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Proficiency in using handheld scanners and other store technology.

- Locations: Opportunities are available in Memphis, Germantown, and Collierville, Tennessee; Jackson, Tennessee; Horn Lake and Olive Branch, Mississippi; and Jonesboro, Arkansas.
