About the role#
This internship runs from January to June 2027. You will join the Imagineering graphics team to develop signage and show graphics for Disney theme parks and resorts. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical design support and production coordination for environmental graphic design projects.
- Review project drawings and offer feedback.
- Assist the team with fabrication tasks.
- Develop scopes of work, including hard cost budgets and schedules, for smaller projects.
- Collect data to support the signage cost estimating process.
- Manage vendors for small-scale projects.
- Create documentation throughout the design process.
- Supervise installations after park close.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or higher in Architecture, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Graphic Design, or Environmental Engineering.
- Proficiency in foam core assembly, soldering, and woodshop skills.
- Basic electronics knowledge.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator.
- 3D software skills in Rhino, Revit, or AutoCAD, plus MS Office proficiency.
- Knowledge of drafting principles for environmental graphics construction documentation.
- A valid driver's license.
- A portfolio is required for this application.
Location & details#
- Location: Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
- Schedule: You must be available 7 days a week, including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compensation: $26.50 per hour for undergraduates and $27.50 per hour for graduate students.
