About the role#
This internship offers a look into the production of a live television show. You will work with the team at The View to support daily operations, from segment preparation to live broadcasts. The program runs from September 2026 through mid-December 2026.
What you'll do#
- Observe the control room, studio floor, and the editing of promos and tape pieces.
- Shadow segment producers during the preparation, rehearsal, and execution of segments.
- Collaborate with media coordinators, production assistants, and research departments.
- Support the digital department by managing social media accounts.
- Attend daily production meetings with executives.
- Assist with the coordination and distribution of audience giveaways.
- Handle various production and administrative tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, with a major or coursework in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or Art.
- Familiarity with or an interest in television production.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products like Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects in a changing work environment.
- Experience working in collaborative settings.
- Must be at least 18 years old with unrestricted work authorization.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Schedule: 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 8am to 4pm.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
- You must provide your own housing and transportation for the duration of the program.
