About the role#
The Architecture & Facilities Engineering team at the Disneyland Resort manages the enterprise GIS systems and spatial data infrastructure. This team supports operations, maintenance, and projects across the resort. As a GIS Intern, you will work with staff to maintain facility data that supports decision-making. You will gain experience in field operations, mapping, and workflow automation. This internship runs from January to June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Configure, edit, and maintain GIS feature data in an ArcGIS environment.
- Conduct field inspections and validate facility assets and infrastructure.
- Capture field data using mobile tools, 360 cameras, and GNSS surveying equipment.
- Verify GIS records and asset inventories against real-world conditions.
- Produce maps, web apps, and geovisualization products.
- Identify data discrepancies and provide documentation for updates.
- Coordinate with engineers, maintenance teams, and project stakeholders to resolve inconsistencies.
- Develop research reports, technical reports, and presentation materials.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Computer Science, Data Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or Business Administration.
- 0-2 years of experience in geospatial, GIS, data engineering, or related technical work.
- Basic knowledge of GIS and geographic principles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies.
- Ability to work outdoors and perform regular fieldwork in various conditions.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.

- Location: Anaheim, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through June).
- Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: Paid position at $31.00 per hour.
- Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old with unrestricted work authorization.
