About the role#
The Environmental Sustainability team sets the strategy and plans projects to reach company goals regarding emissions, water, oceans, waste, and sustainable design. As a Data Analytics Intern, you will work with partners across Walt Disney World and global Disney Experiences to deliver data-driven insights. You will report to the Manager of Data and Analytics.
What you'll do#
- Collect, validate, and analyze data related to emissions, water, waste, and materials initiatives.
- Develop measurement methodologies, metrics, and KPIs to track project performance.
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations for partners.
- Provide data-driven thought partnership and ad hoc analysis for cross-functional teams.
- Conduct field work including waste studies and site visits, which requires walking onstage and backstage in various weather conditions and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Manage recurring data collection, database entry, and validation checks for site and segment consolidations.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience with database data entry, data validation, and building queries using SQL and Power BI.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to consolidate information into clear recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while keeping stakeholders informed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A valid U.S. driver's license.
Location & details#
- Location: Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
- Term: Full-time, 6-month commitment from January 2027 through June 2027.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $31.00 per hour.
- Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old, possess unrestricted work authorization, and be enrolled in an accredited college or university. You must provide your own housing and reliable transportation.
