About the role#
The Facilities Shared Services division at the Disneyland Resort offers an internship for students to gain field experience in facility operations, utility support, and project management. You will work alongside Engineering Service Managers and various trades to provide technical data and support for projects across the resort. This role involves a mix of desk and field work.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects as directed by your team leader.
- Conduct on-site reviews, inspections, and generate reports on work in progress.
- Compile onboarding and training documentation for various trades.
- Participate in estimating walks and help department estimators prepare and update project estimates.
- Coordinate scheduled field activities with all affected parties.
- Assist with job plan reviews, asset planning, and the creation of workflow processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Mechanical Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Prior related work experience, such as a co-op or internship, in Mechanical Engineering or Project Management.
- Experience reading blueprints and working with Maximo and AutoCAD software.
- Understanding of building packages and project management from start to finish.
- Strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter who manages multiple tasks and priorities.
- Preferred knowledge includes Microsoft Project, Primavera, and HVAC systems.
Location & details#
- Location: Anaheim, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through June).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $30.00 per hour for undergraduates or $35.00 per hour for graduate students.
- Requirements: Interns must provide their own housing and transportation. This is an on-site position.
