About the role#
The Disney Cruise Line Environmental Affairs team preserves and improves the environment through conscientious business practices. This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment based in the Orlando, FL area. You will work with engineers and environmental professionals to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements for vessels and islands operating globally.
What you'll do#
- Work with the Environmental Affairs team to learn maritime regulations.
- Gather and consolidate data for projects, including pollution incident analysis and waste characterization.
- Support daily vessel and island operations, including waste and hazardous waste offload requests.
- Review Environmental Safety Management System policies and forms to ensure they reflect current regulations.
- Complete various reports and operating guides.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior standing in a degree program, such as Chemistry or Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Basic knowledge of environmental programs like hazardous waste, solid waste, or wastewater.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work various shifts and travel as required.
- Candidates must submit a one-page summary of a current maritime policy with their application.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January 2027 to June 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This is a full-time, paid position at $31 per hour.
- You must provide your own housing and reliable transportation.
