About the role#
The Walsh Group offers an internship program designed to prepare students for leadership roles in construction. You will gain hands-on experience in project engineering and field management by working on active jobsites or within our estimating and preconstruction departments. We match you with projects that align with your academic background and career goals to help you transition into a full-time position after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Support project managers and field supervision staff with daily coordination.
- Estimate costs for change orders.
- Solicit bidders and coordinate the work of subcontractors.
- Manage schedules for various contracts and materials.
- Write RFIs and submittals.
- Participate in team meetings and assist with safety management and document control.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
- Ability to commit to a 12-week work schedule.
- Willingness to relocate for specific roles if required.
