About the role#
The HRIS & HR Analytics team manages HR Workday projects and people analytics requests. As a summer intern, you will join this team to support core data infrastructure and reporting initiatives. You will gain exposure to HR systems while working with various stakeholders across the organization. This is a full-time, 12-week internship opportunity for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Build a data dictionary for core people-data fields.
- Perform employee lifecycle mapping to identify process feedback loops.
- Conduct a leverage points exercise to determine where data or process changes create the most impact.
- Draft an HR metrics 101 glossary for the broader HR team.
- Contribute to reporting standardization, including updating report tags, reviewing naming conventions, and consolidating duplicative reports.
- Take inventory of reports containing outdated fields and collaborate on replacements.
- Participate in Hub optimizations.
- Handle administrative tasks in Workday, including employee name updates.
What you'll need#
- Status as a rising senior or second-year graduate student, with a graduation date of December 2027 or May/August 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Understanding of Workday, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Strong critical thinking and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Location & details#
- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Modality: Hybrid. Employees are expected to work from the office at least 3 days per week, including Tuesday and Wednesday as anchor days.
- Compensation: This position is paid at $25.00 per hour.
