About the role#
This year-round internship provides hands-on experience within the Automation Testing Framework engineering team. You will work on critical risk technology systems alongside experienced engineers. The program runs from January 2027 through December 2027, with a maximum of 1,000 hours. You will work up to 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
What you'll do#
- Write clean Java code with guidance from senior team members.
- Contribute to automation testing framework features.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
- Assist testing teams with basic troubleshooting.
- Gain exposure to secure software delivery practices and CI/CD automation.
- Communicate effectively within an agile environment.
What you'll need#
- Rising senior or second-year graduate student graduating in December 2027, May 2028, or August 2028.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Foundational Java programming skills and object-oriented design knowledge.
- Understanding of OOP, microservices, and REST APIs.
- Ability to write basic SQL queries for relational database systems.
- Familiarity with Git version control workflows.
- Basic familiarity with Kafka concepts and interest in AWS services.
- Practical curiosity about AI-assisted development tools.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Dallas, Texas.
- Modality: Hybrid. Employees must work from the office at least 3 days per week, including Tuesday and Wednesday as anchor days.
