About the role#
As a 1:1 Individual Student Aide, you will provide targeted support to students within a classroom setting. You will work under the supervision of licensed professional staff to assist with academic, functional, and behavioral needs, ensuring a consistent application of the school's academic and therapeutic programs.
What you'll do#
- Monitor an assigned student to address academic, functional, behavioral, or safety concerns as outlined in their IEP.
- Adapt and prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized learning environment.
- Communicate student social, emotional, or behavioral concerns to clinical staff.
- Implement behavior program policies and manage associated data.
- Coordinate with administration and staff to ensure consistent program application.
- Maintain student confidentiality and report safety concerns or unusual incidents to administration.
- Attend required staff meetings and in-service training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 23 years of age.
- Ability to work effectively with high-risk special needs students.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing routines and the ability to operate tactfully under stress.
- Paraprofessional Certification is preferred but not required.
- Academic background in Psychology is relevant to this position.

- Location: Woodstock, Illinois.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time, following a school calendar (7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday).
