1:1 Individual Student Aide

About the role#

As a 1:1 Individual Student Aide, you will provide targeted support to students within a classroom setting. You will work under the supervision of licensed professional staff to assist with academic, functional, and behavioral needs, ensuring a consistent application of the school's academic and therapeutic programs.

What you'll do#

• Monitor an assigned student to address academic, functional, behavioral, or safety concerns as outlined in their IEP.
• Adapt and prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized learning environment.
• Communicate student social, emotional, or behavioral concerns to clinical staff.
• Implement behavior program policies and manage associated data.
• Coordinate with administration and staff to ensure consistent program application.
• Maintain student confidentiality and report safety concerns or unusual incidents to administration.
• Attend required staff meetings and in-service training sessions.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 23 years of age.
• Ability to work effectively with high-risk special needs students.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing routines and the ability to operate tactfully under stress.
• Paraprofessional Certification is preferred but not required.
• Academic background in Psychology is relevant to this position.

Location & details#

• Location: Woodstock, Illinois.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Commitment: Full-time, following a school calendar (7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday).
• Term: Rolling.
