About the role#
The Preconstruction Intern works with our team to review, document, and deliver buildable plan sets that stay within established budgets. You will serve as a link between the Development and Construction teams, ensuring projects remain constructible and meet design intent. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Denver.
What you'll do#
- Study project plans and perform on-screen takeoffs to quantify materials and scopes of work.
- Assist with tracking plans throughout the development process.
- Help with subcontractor procurement, bid coordination, and related tasks.
- Use quantity takeoffs and historical cost data to develop initial project budgets.
- Inspect plan sheets to ensure they meet internal company standards.
- Support the Preconstruction Team with various project-related duties.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in construction, construction management, construction technology, or civil engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to support the team at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate project needs.
- An understanding of the difference between causation and correlation.
- Integrity in your work by ensuring you never claim the work of others as your own.
