About the role#
As a Construction Project Management Intern, you will work with Project Managers and Project Engineers to support construction activities. You will be part of a specific project team and gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a construction project. This role is based in the office but requires travel to job sites to track progress and see how plans become reality.
What you'll do#
- Shadow Project Managers to understand the daily responsibilities of project execution and team coordination.
- Support the team with subcontractor coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting.
- Maintain project documentation such as contracts, change orders, and status reports.
- Use Procore to assist with daily observation reports, drawing sets, submittals, and punch lists.
- Assist with bid analysis, schedule and scope reviews, and contract drafting.
- Generate project reports for the site team and subcontractors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with marketing, public speaking, or presentations is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and remain detail oriented.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a professional team.
- A positive attitude, relentless problem-solving skills, and the ability to anticipate project needs.
