About the role#
As a Construction Project Management Intern, you will work with a specific project team through various stages of an active construction project. You will support both office and on-site teams to ensure construction activities are completed efficiently. This role provides a view of how a project team works together to deliver results.
What you'll do#
- Shadow a Project Manager to understand day-to-day responsibilities, including communication and project execution.
- Visit construction sites to track project progress and see how plans become reality.
- Assist with subcontractor coordination, material tracking, file management, and document control.
- Maintain project documentation such as contracts, change orders, and reports.
- Use Procore to assist with daily observation reports, drawing sets, submittals, and punch lists.
- Help with bid analysis, schedule and scope reviews, and contract drafting.
- Generate project reports for site teams and subcontractors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Construction Management or a related major.
- Strong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask while remaining detail oriented.
- Capacity to work both independently and within a team of professionals.
- A positive attitude and the ability to anticipate needs.
- Relentless problem-solving skills.
- Experience with marketing, public speaking, or presentations is a plus.
