About the role#
The Development Intern supports our team during the design and entitlement phases of multifamily projects. You will work on site feasibility, project scheduling, and daily administrative tasks. This role provides direct exposure to the development process from site identification through due diligence.
What you'll do#
- Track development tasks and identify ways to systemize recurring work.
- Research zoning codes, land use policies, and project-specific topics.
- Assist with entitlement submittals, site plan reviews, and application tracking.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to gather project materials.
- Compile property reports, surveys, and environmental assessments.
- Help analyze site feasibility, including utilities, access, and topography.
- Assist with title reviews, impact fee budgets, and due diligence checklists.
- Abstract key dates from agreements and manage project schedules.
- Use Microsoft Project and Monday.com for tracking and reporting.
- Prepare presentations and attend team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Real Estate, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a relevant field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel with macro programming, PowerPoint, and web research.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks across several projects.
- Capacity to work both independently and within a team.
- A positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with marketing or public speaking is a plus.

- This is an on-site internship based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- The position is full-time and paid.
- We offer a rolling term.
