About the role#
As an Investment Intern, you will gain exposure to the financial analysis, market research, and strategic thinking behind multifamily real estate. You will work alongside our Development, Acquisitions, and Asset Management teams to analyze ground-up development opportunities, potential acquisitions, and the performance of existing properties. This role involves working with real financial models, market data, and investment assumptions to support business decisions.
What you'll do#
- Conduct investment analysis for potential multifamily acquisition and development opportunities.
- Build and maintain financial models that include financing structures, project budgets, and operating projections.
- Support due diligence by analyzing market trends, zoning requirements, construction costs, and lease-up assumptions.
- Perform market research and competitive analysis to inform rent projections and supply dynamics.
- Assist in preparing investment memoranda, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders and partners.
- Collaborate with Development, Construction, and Asset Management teams to support project objectives.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines to help identify potential risks.
- Analyze project performance against initial underwriting and support reforecasting efforts.
- Research capital market trends, financing structures, and underwriting standards.
- Maintain internal databases tracking deals, pipeline projects, and market data.
- Participate in meetings regarding prospective and existing investments.
- Gain on-site exposure to properties and assist with additional projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Sophomore or junior standing is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in real estate through coursework, clubs, or other experiences.
- Basic understanding of real estate terminology and investment return metrics.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort developing and presenting information to others.
- Initiative and the ability to work independently.
- A curious and adaptable mindset.

- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site at our corporate headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.
