    About the role#

    WLEX-TV is seeking a Summer Production Intern to gain hands-on experience in the broadcast television industry. This internship provides exposure to directing, technical directing, and studio operations within a live broadcast environment. This position is unpaid and intended for a limited duration.

    What you'll do#

    • Gain exposure to the broadcast television industry through daily assignments.
    • Learn directing and technical directing operations in a live studio environment.
    • Assist with studio production duties, including camera operation, audio, lighting, and graphics.
    • Support the production team with newscast preparation and execution.
    • Perform assigned duties as related to the internship.

    What you'll need#

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Strong desire to learn about the broadcast industry.
    • Ability to work effectively with a team.
    • Ability to follow directions.
    • Preferred majors include Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, or Graphic Design.
