About the role#
WTMJ is seeking a News Intern to join the team for the summer of 2026. This part-time, on-site position provides hands-on experience in broadcast journalism and insight into how news is delivered to the community.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to the broadcast news industry through daily assignments.
- Perform duties related to news production and content creation.
- Develop skills in newsroom operations and storytelling.
- Support the news team with various projects and initiatives.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong desire to learn about the broadcast news industry.
- Ability to work effectively with a team.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Preferred majors include Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies.
