About the role#

WTMJ is seeking a News Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This part-time, on-site internship provides hands-on experience in broadcast journalism, offering insight into the daily operations required to deliver news to the community.

What you'll do#

Gain exposure to the broadcast news industry through daily assignments.
Perform duties related to news production and content creation.
Develop practical skills in newsroom operations and storytelling.
Support the news team with various projects and initiatives.

What you'll need#

A high school diploma or equivalent.
A strong desire to learn about the broadcast news industry.
The ability to work effectively within a team.
The ability to follow directions.
Preferred academic backgrounds include Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies.

Location & details#

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Work Modality: On-site.
Term: Summer 2026.
This position is unpaid and does not offer visa sponsorship.
