    About the role#

    WTMJ is seeking a News Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This part-time, on-site internship provides hands-on experience in broadcast journalism, offering insight into the daily operations required to deliver news to the community.

    What you'll do#

    • Gain exposure to the broadcast news industry through daily assignments.
    • Perform duties related to news production and content creation.
    • Develop practical skills in newsroom operations and storytelling.
    • Support the news team with various projects and initiatives.

    What you'll need#

    • A high school diploma or equivalent.
    • A strong desire to learn about the broadcast news industry.
    • The ability to work effectively within a team.
    • The ability to follow directions.
    • Preferred academic backgrounds include Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies.

    • Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Summer 2026.
    • This position is unpaid and does not offer visa sponsorship.
