About the role#
The Photo/Video Production Intern helps the Creative Marketing and Public Relations teams by capturing and editing media. You will cover special events like Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the Barbie: You Can Be Anything exhibit to create content for news outlets and social media channels. This position runs for 16 weeks during the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Capture photo and video content for PR distribution and museum social media channels.
- Edit media on tight deadlines, including adding graphics and soundtracks.
- Manage shooting schedules by working closely with colleagues, often outside standard business hours.
- Organize and maintain photo and video files within the digital asset management system.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior in Journalism, Media, Film, Photography, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with photo and video cameras and audio recording equipment.
- Experience with Photoshop and Premiere Pro is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience working with children is strongly preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry over 50 pounds and move around the property as needed.
