About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern works closely with the Store Manager to develop an understanding of retail operations and management. This role focuses on delivering an enjoyable shopping experience while gaining hands-on experience in sales, merchandising, and store leadership. Interns are expected to complete specific sections of the company management manual, provide regular progress reports, and take ownership of assigned product categories.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
- Achieve personal sales-per-hour and total net sales goals.
- Help guests try on or fit merchandise and suggest additional items to complete their wardrobe.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of customer service expectations and store policies.
- Manage a product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Perform operational tasks including cashiering, processing freight, merchandising, and store cleaning.
- Maintain high standards for store organization and presentation.
- Actively participate in team recruiting and development efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Psychology.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- No prior experience or training is necessary.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and maneuver up to 50 pounds throughout the store and backroom.
