About the role#
The Electrical Design Implementation section is hiring an undergraduate intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within the xLab to develop prototypes, instruments, and demonstration systems. This position is based on-site in El Segundo, California, and requires a full-time commitment for at least 10 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams to build and test prototype systems.
- Review electrical engineering data to ensure it meets established standards.
- Assist senior engineering staff with project documentation and nonconformance resolutions.
- Perform electrical engineering design tasks under direct supervision.
- Create reports and presentations using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor's degree program for Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Completion of sophomore class standing by the start of the internship.
- Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks and return to your degree program afterward.
- Proficiency with standard electrical engineering toolkits and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Submission of academic transcripts.
