About the role#
Data Center Integration converts delivered hardware into powered, cabled racks ready for cluster operation. As a Data Center Build and Deployment Intern, you will work directly on live builds. You will spend your time receiving and staging racks, verifying installations against technical standards, and identifying process bottlenecks. By the end of the program, you will deliver a functional deployment dashboard and a data-backed analysis on cycle-time improvements.
What you'll do#
- Receive and stage equipment racks.
- Perform quality checks on installations using port maps and technical standards.
- Track build throughput and identify operational bottlenecks.
- Build and ship a deployment dashboard for the team.
- Complete a cycle-time improvement analysis.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant engineering, technology, supply chain, or IT program, or 2+ years of experience in construction, logistics, manufacturing, or IT operations.
- Military experience in technical, maintenance, electrical, or logistics specialties is also accepted.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets like Excel or Google Sheets to organize logs and counts.
- Reliability and the ability to follow strict checklists.
- Comfort with physical work in loud, temperature-variable environments, including the ability to lift up to 50 lb.
- Ability to meet colocation site access requirements, including background checks.
- Willingness to travel to data center sites for 30 to 50 percent of the time.
