About the role#
The Business Analyst Co-op works with the Senior Business Advisor to drive performance reporting, metric tracking, and process improvements. You will support the Teck Digital Systems (TDS) Strategy, Planning & Performance department by assisting with planning routines and engaging with stakeholders across finance, human resources, communications, and risk management. This role provides exposure to strategy and performance management within a multi-national corporation.
What you'll do#
- Act as a safety leader by following and sponsoring all safety and environmental procedures.
- Design and develop strategic processes within an agile environment.
- Create detailed reporting presentations and documentation for TDS stakeholders.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting of TDS service area performance.
- Develop communication strategies to translate business needs into performance improvements.
- Support the Performance Team with service build-out processes using business strategy frameworks.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for performance management processes and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Information Technology, Marketing, or Engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large volumes of information.
- A demonstrated interest in the intersection of business and technology, including practical programming knowledge.
- Ability to create professional, consulting-level presentation slides.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain data-driven insights.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple assignments.
- Ability to work effectively in a team while meeting tight deadlines.
- Case competition experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in business process analysis, corporate communication, or change management is an asset.
- Proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset.
