About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will support procurement, sourcing, and contract administration for a portfolio of energy projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals to help deliver business initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in the supply chain field.
What you'll do#
- Support procurement and sourcing activities to ensure timely project delivery.
- Assist with supplier onboarding, qualification, and contract management.
- Create and maintain purchase orders and procurement documentation.
- Collaborate with suppliers, project managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Perform data entry and analyze reports.
- Participate in project site visits and walkthroughs.
- Manage bid event lifecycles, including communications and bid instructions.
- Identify and report cost-saving opportunities.
- Gather and distribute market intelligence on supply markets and trends.
- Conduct supplier research, including financial health and performance analysis.
- Contribute to team initiatives and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Supply Chain Management or related degree program.
- Completion of at least one academic term before May 2027.
- Intent to return to full-time studies after the work term.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week from May 2027 to August 2027.
- Knowledge of procurement and supply chain principles.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and research.
- Exposure to supplier management or purchasing processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and multi-task effectively.
