About the role#
The Procurement Team at Tallgrass secures the materials and services needed for daily operations. This team manages contractor agreements, evaluates pricing, and ensures compliance with company policies. You will support these efforts by using data analytics and digital tools to improve efficiency and transparency.
What you'll do#
- Support end-to-end procurement functions through data analytics and insights.
- Review and optimize procurement workflows using automation.
- Process and prioritize requests from internal stakeholders.
- Respond to inquiries across the organization.
- Perform data quality reviews on third-party deliverables.
- Help develop and refine procurement policies and procedures.
- Manage vendor documentation through systematic cataloging and archiving.
- Facilitate collaboration across different departments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Intermediate skills in Adobe Acrobat and PDF editing.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data integrity and detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Willingness to learn procurement software and data visualization tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to ERP systems like SAP or Oracle is preferred.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Houston, Texas.
- The program runs for 10 weeks, from May to August 2027.
- Compensation ranges from $20.90 to $37.09 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Benefits may include paid time off and a housing stipend.
