About the role#
We are seeking a Student Intern to support environmental compliance, greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting, methane management, and air emissions programs across U.S. operations. This role provides hands-on experience in regulatory analysis, data management, and environmental program controls. You will work alongside experienced professionals to contribute to emissions inventories and reporting processes while gaining insight into natural gas operations.
What you'll do#
- Collect, validate, and organize GHG, methane, and air emissions data for federal, state, and corporate reporting.
- Reconcile emissions inventories, permits, calculation tools, monitoring plans, and Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) records.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of emissions datasets, dashboards, and reporting workbooks.
- Conduct regulatory research regarding air emissions requirements and prepare summaries of compliance obligations.
- Support efforts to improve data consistency, documentation quality, and audit readiness.
- Assist environmental teams with data analysis, records management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Data Analytics, Environmental Policy, or related degree program.
- Completion of at least one academic term prior to May 2027 and a commitment to return to full-time studies after the internship.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week from May 2027 through August 2027.
- Academic training or familiarity with GHG reporting, methane management, air emissions programs, or environmental compliance.
- Experience working with data systems, databases, and data validation tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and analyze information in ambiguous situations.
