About the role#
This internship is a full-time, paid position during the summer of 2027. You will work within our communications team to support internal and external messaging across the company. This is a hybrid role based in our Hartford, Connecticut office.
What you'll do#
- Draft and proofread internal employee communications.
- Create written and digital marketing materials to support employee engagement.
- Maintain and update our SharePoint employee intranet site.
- Use social media platforms to support branding for company events.
- Assist with various ad hoc projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately proofread and edit corporate documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
- Basic understanding of data analytics, such as click-through rates and site visits.
- Ability to process instructions and execute tasks quickly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with MS SharePoint or photo editing software is a plus.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Hartford, Connecticut.
- Modality: Hybrid, with onsite work expected on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
- Compensation: 25 USD per hour.
- Note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
