About the role#
Taft College is hiring a Student Worker for the Social Sciences department. This position is open for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms. You will work on-site in Taft, California. This is a paid, part-time role.
What you'll do#
- Make copies and organize paperwork in binders.
- Perform data entry tasks, excluding student-identifying information.
- Run campus-related errands.
- Prepare materials and manipulatives for classroom use.
- Close caption videos for the Canvas platform.
- Update Canvas as an assigned teaching assistant, without accessing student records.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in at least 6 units at Taft College.
- Maintain enrollment in good standing.
- Preference is given to students majoring in Sociology, Psychology, History, or Political Science.
