About the role#
Taft College is hiring a student worker to support the EOPS, CARE, NextUp, and CalWORKs programs. This role focuses on building our presence across social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. You will help shape how we communicate with current and prospective students.
What you'll do#
- Brainstorm video concepts, film content using mobile devices, and edit footage.
- Manage our social media community while following Taft College branding guidelines.
- Help define the strategy and voice for our social media channels.
- Support recruitment and outreach events for eligible students.
- Design flyers for upcoming campus events.
What you'll need#
- You must be an EOPS, CARE, NextUp, or CalWORKs student.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Be currently enrolled in at least 6 units at Taft College.
- Remain in good standing and enrolled in courses throughout the assignment.
- We prefer candidates with six months of video creation experience and a strong understanding of social media trends and platform functionality.

- This position is based in Taft, California.
- Work is on-site.
- The term covers Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- This is a paid, part-time student worker position.
