About the role#
Taft College is hiring a student worker to assist with softball field maintenance for the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid, on-site position for students currently enrolled at the college.
What you'll do#
- Mow the infield grass and apron areas.
- Edge the grass and dirt borders.
- Drag and rake the infield dirt before and after workouts and games.
- Rake, tamp, and water the mound, bullpens, and home plate areas every day.
- Sweep the dugouts after practice.
- Empty trash cans as needed.
- Keep the baseball shed organized and clean.
- Clean hitting cages.
- Set up the field for practice and game days.
What you'll need#
- You must be a registered athlete with Taft College athletics.
- You must be currently enrolled and in good standing at Taft College.
- You need to be registered for at least 6 units during the work study program.
- Students studying Kinesiology are preferred.
