About the role#
This position supports the Taft College athletics department. You will assist staff with daily operations, media coverage, and community outreach for the college sports programs. This is a paid student worker role for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Capture photographs during team practices and games.
- Write stories covering athletic events and activities.
- Record and input statistical data.
- Assist the athletics staff with outreach efforts.
What you'll need#
- You must be a registered athlete with Taft College athletics.
- You must be currently enrolled at Taft College and in good standing.
- You must be registered for at least 6 units during the work study program.
- Students in Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies are encouraged to apply.

- This role is located on-site in Taft, California.
- This is a part-time position.
