About the role#
Taft College is hiring a student worker to support the Financial Aid and Scholarships department. This is a paid, on-site position based in Taft, California. The role follows a rolling term structure.
What you'll do#
You will act as the first point of contact for students seeking financial aid information. Your daily tasks include:
- Answering student questions in person and over the phone.
- Scheduling appointments between students and financial aid staff.
- Helping with outreach events.
- Directing students to appropriate campus resources.
- Maintaining office equipment like printers and computers.
- Organizing department materials and scanning documents for digital archives.
- Managing mailroom tasks and running campus errands.
- Cleaning financial aid office areas on a weekly basis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in at least 6 units at Taft College.
- Good standing with the college.
- Eligibility for Federal Work Study.
- Enrollment in a Business Administration program is preferred.
