About the role#
The Systems Engineer Co-Op joins the Customer Operations organization to support the day-to-day performance of robotic material handling systems. You will work within a control center environment to ensure system health, communicate technical issues to cross-functional teams, and maintain operational excellence. This is a paid, full-time co-op position.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot advanced system and operational issues.
- Monitor the health of automated adapters, vertical lifts, and robotic vehicles.
- Document and report technical issues to engineering teams while collaborating on solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to site teams and customers.
- Participate in initiatives focused on continuous improvement, standardization, and warehouse automation performance.
- Support production environments while ensuring compliance with safety procedures and OSHA standards.
- Assist with physical tasks as needed, including light maintenance and the operation of robotic equipment.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with or a willingness to learn PLC (Allen Bradley, Siemens), robotics (ABB), and software languages including SQL, Linux, and Python.
- Hands-on experience assembling, operating, and troubleshooting robotics and electro-mechanical systems.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Ability to work at heights up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches.
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 32 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Physical ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours and lift up to 60 pounds.
