About the role#
As a Systems Engineer Co-Op, you will work within our Customer Operations team to maintain and optimize our robotic material handling systems. You will help run our system control center, ensuring that technical issues are identified and communicated to the right teams to maintain system performance. This role involves working directly with site teams to uphold safety standards and drive operational excellence.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot advanced system and operational issues.
- Monitor the health of automated adapters, vertical lifts, and robotic vehicles.
- Document and report technical issues to engineering teams, working together to find solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to site teams and customers.
- Assist with escalations to resolve production-impacting problems.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for our warehouse automation solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA, company, and customer safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with assembling, operating, and troubleshooting robotics or electro-mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with PLC systems such as Allen Bradley or Siemens.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- A willingness to learn new equipment and assist team members with physical tasks, including light maintenance and moving items.
- Ability to work at heights up to 45 feet and in restricted spaces as small as 24 inches.
- Capability to work in temperatures ranging from 32 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours and lift up to 60 pounds.
