About the role#
The Director’s Office Intern supports the administrative and strategic planning functions of the museum. This position offers insight into nonprofit organizational management and external affairs. Please note this is an administrative role, not a curatorial one. It is best suited for those interested in arts administration.
What you'll do#
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives.
- Assist the Director and Chief Curator and the Chief of Staff with ongoing projects.
- Conduct research on institutional history and specific artists.
- Draft internal correspondence and prepare presentations for the office.
- Provide general administrative and logistical support.
- Update and maintain office documents.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college sophomore, junior, or senior, or status as a recent graduate or graduate student.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 11, 2027 to April 16, 2027).
- Modality: On-site, 20 hours per week during the workweek. Tuesdays are mandatory.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship with a $5,040 stipend.
- Eligibility: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
