About the role#
Stryker is hiring Mechanical Engineering interns for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Mahwah, New Jersey. You will work on-site with teams focused on Research and Development, New Product Development, Product Engineering, or Test Lab operations.
What you'll do#
- Research new technologies, customer expectations, business requirements, and relevant regulations.
- Design new products and manage them from the initial concept through to production.
- Perform quantitative testing of technical specifications to verify design integrity.
- Develop and build fixtures to simulate real-life product usage scenarios.
- Analyze product performance data and investigate root causes to improve existing products.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Must remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program following the internship.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
