About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering intern, you will join one of our teams in Research and Development, Product Engineering, or the Test Lab. You will contribute to meaningful projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain hands-on experience in the medical technology industry. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027 based in Tempe, Arizona.
What you'll do#
- Research new technologies, customer expectations, business requirements, and regulations.
- Design new products and drive them from initial concept through to production.
- Improve the safety and efficacy of existing products using CAD, FEA, and root cause analysis.
- Experiment with early prototypes and vet out product designs.
- Perform design verification and quantitative testing of technical specifications.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
