About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern at Stratus, you will support engineers and designers working on power, lighting, communication, and low-voltage systems for building and infrastructure projects. You will gain hands-on exposure to electrical design principles, technical software, industry standards, and project delivery. Throughout the internship, you will contribute to active assignments while receiving guidance and mentorship from experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Assist with electrical drawings, calculations, reports, research, and other project documentation.
- Support the design and coordination of power, lighting, communication, and low-voltage systems.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of relevant engineering or technical coursework.
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles.
- Basic proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and Microsoft Office applications.
- Internship or co-op experience in electrical design is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical load calculation software is preferred.
- Involvement in IEEE or related professional organizations is preferred.
