About the role#
As a Structural Engineering Intern, you will support engineers and designers with the analysis, design, detailing, assessment, and rehabilitation of building and infrastructure systems. You will gain hands-on experience with structural materials, calculations, modeling tools, and construction documents while contributing to active projects under the guidance of experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Assist with structural calculations, models, drawings, details, reports, and project documentation.
- Support the analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and related structural systems.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and coordination with design and construction teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of coursework in statics, mechanics of materials, structural analysis, or design.
- Basic understanding of structural systems and engineering calculations.
- Basic proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, structural analysis tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Internship, co-op, research, or project experience related to structural engineering is preferred.
- Familiarity with RISA, RAM, Mathcad, or similar software is a plus.
- Involvement in ASCE, SEI, or related engineering organizations is preferred.

- Location: Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour.
