About the role#
As a Structural Engineering Intern, you will work alongside engineers and designers on the analysis, design, detailing, assessment, and rehabilitation of various building and infrastructure systems. You will gain hands-on experience with structural materials, calculations, modeling tools, and construction documents while contributing to active project assignments under the guidance of experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Assist with structural calculations, models, drawings, details, reports, and other project documentation.
- Support the analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and related structural systems.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and coordination with design and construction teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Completed coursework in statics, mechanics of materials, structural analysis, or design.
- A basic understanding of structural systems and engineering calculations.
- Basic proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, structural analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Preferred: Previous internship, co-op, research, or project experience related to structural engineering.
- Preferred: Familiarity with RISA, RAM, Mathcad, or similar analysis and design software.
- Preferred: Involvement in ASCE, SEI, or related engineering organizations.

- Compensation: USD 20 - 25 per hour.
