About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work directly on our advertising platform. You will write production-level code that impacts our product. You will work with large data sets and gain exposure to modern technologies like GoLang. This role is a full-time, remote position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Take ownership of product solutions using a variety of systems.
- Build new product capabilities and enhance existing ones for internal and external users.
- Solve complex problems by writing scalable and efficient software.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical architecture, and design documentation.
- Identify and resolve technical issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar post-secondary program.
- Previous internship experience building full-stack web applications with Python, Ruby, or Javascript.
- Knowledge of Ruby on Rails, React, Redux, Javascript, Material UI, Typescript, and GraphQL.
- Understanding of scalable system design for web-based APIs and backend processing systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills in data structures, algorithms, and code optimization.
- Experience with test-driven development, relational databases, and key-value stores.
- Ability to identify and address areas that may produce technical debt.
