About the role#
StackAdapt is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join our team for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on a platform that processes millions of requests each second and makes billions of decisions. This role involves solving challenges in data storage, traffic, and scalability within a remote environment.
What you'll do#
- Design modular, scalable real-time data pipelines for large datasets.
- Implement custom machine learning algorithms in a low-latency environment.
- Develop microservice architectures that manage training, inference, and monitoring for thousands of machine learning models at once.
What you'll need#
- A high GPA from a respected Computer Science program.
- Deep knowledge of software design, concurrency, algorithms, and data structures.
- Experience implementing probabilistic or machine learning algorithms.
- An interest in designing scalable distributed systems.
- The ability to take an ambiguous task and break it into actionable steps.
- You enjoy working in a friendly, collaborative environment.

- Modality: Remote (open to candidates located in Canada).
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Compensation: Paid position with an hourly rate between $35 and $55 CAD.
