About the role#
WJAR NBC 10 is seeking a News Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience within a professional broadcast news department.
What you'll do#
- Support the News Department through active participation in daily training and news-related tasks.
- Engage with station operations to gain a comprehensive understanding of the broadcast industry.
- Complete assigned projects designed to provide professional development in news production.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior at a four-year accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, or Media Studies.
- Eligibility to receive college credit for the internship (Credit Verification forms will be provided).
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Strong motivation and a clear intent to pursue a career in the news industry.
