About the role#
WSET News is offering a news internship for the Fall 2026 term. This role provides hands-on training and observational learning for students or recent graduates interested in broadcast media. You will see how a newsroom operates from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Gain real-world newsroom experience.
- Work alongside reporters, anchors, producers, editors, and photographers in the studio and in the field.
- Research and pitch story ideas.
- Operate camera equipment.
- Receive training on how to produce news segments from the control room.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university, or status as a recent graduate.
- Ability to work approximately 15 hours per week for a 10-week period.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Reliable transportation.
- Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, English, or a related field.
