About the role#
WAVY-TV 10 and WVBT FOX43 are looking for a Streaming Content Production Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This role offers hands-on experience with Connected TV show production. You will work directly with show teams to support daily operations in a local newsroom environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist show teams with pre-show production for both field and studio shoots.
- Help with post-show editing for social media platforms.
- Manage studio setup and breakdown for various productions.
- Train with producers to assist in punching shows.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college degree-granting program.
- Proof of enrollment in an internship course.
- Completed coursework in communications or TV production.
- A solid understanding of journalistic integrity.
- A willingness to learn how a local newsroom and its departments function.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position in Portsmouth, Virginia.
- The role is unpaid and requires 12 to 15 hours per week.
- You must be available for a varying schedule between Monday and Friday, with some potential for weekend shifts.
