About the role#
Sinclair Inc. is hiring an intern for our broadcast news operations in Reno. This is a paid position for students who want to prepare for a career in news. We provide credit verification forms for those who need them.
What you'll do#
You will work directly with reporters and producers on daily news tasks. Your responsibilities include:
- Researching, writing, and fact-checking stories.
- Organizing media and editing content for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Helping with story ideas and coverage planning.
- Observing newsroom operations and assisting during live shoots.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be eligible to receive college credit for this internship.
- We prefer students enrolled in Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies programs.
- You should be able to sit, stand, and travel for shoots as needed.
- You must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
