About the role#
WPDE in Myrtle Beach is offering a News Internship for the Fall 2026 term. This role provides an opportunity to observe and participate in the end-to-end news production process. This is an unpaid internship that must be coordinated with your educational institution for academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Gain an understanding of news production through observational learning.
- Receive hands-on experience in a broadcast media environment.
- Work 10-20 hours per week, depending on your university requirements.
- Coordinate your schedule with your educational faculty.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Current registration in an internship course for the semester of the internship.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Reliable transportation.
- Preferred status for students entering their junior or senior year or those in a graduate program.
- Relevant academic focus in Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies.
