About the role#
This News Internship at WZTV offers the opportunity to gain professional experience in broadcast media production and distribution. Interns will work directly within the newsroom to assist in the creation of stories for broadcast and digital platforms. This is a paid, on-site position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist in researching, writing, and producing news stories.
- Work alongside reporters, anchors, producers, and photographers in the newsroom and in the field.
- Bring fresh story ideas to the table to help shape coverage.
- Learn how to shoot video and frame compelling visuals.
- Gain exposure to control room operations and the production of live broadcasts.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be at least a sophomore at an accredited college or university.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate.
- Preferred majors include Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have reliable transportation.
