About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to news coverage at WZTV in Nashville. You will work within a professional newsroom to support the production of stories for broadcast and digital platforms. This is a paid, on-site role for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist in researching, writing, and producing news stories.
- Work alongside reporters, anchors, producers, and photographers in the newsroom and in the field.
- Bring fresh story ideas to the table to help shape coverage.
- Learn to shoot video and frame compelling visuals.
- Gain exposure to control room operations and the production of live broadcasts.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be at least a sophomore at an accredited college or university.
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or be a recent graduate.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Preferred majors include Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies.

- Location: Nashville, Tennessee.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Approximately 15 hours per week for 10 weeks, with a start date between August 24 and September 14, 2026.
